Pokémon Go Finds Its Way to Family Video

GLENVIEW, IL: July 15, 2016 – Pokémon Go has won the hearts of millions of users, some for the first time and many reliving those childhood memories. Since its stateside release on July 6th, the smartphone game has become a massive hit.

Many businesses have become hubs for Pokémon Go activity, with players checking their phones for nearby Pokémon and looking for the next hotspot gym. As users continue the hunt to “catch ‘em all”, Family Video is joining in on the fun. Until July 31st, a Pokémon Go user can stop by any location, show their phone at checkout and earn a FREE movie from one of the store’s specialty sections (limit one per account).

Customers looking to stay in the game might be running low on battery. Family Video is also selling mobile power banks, available at most locations.

For those lucky users, some of the Family Video locations have been tagged as a PokéStop or Gym. Users are encouraged to share their stories and photos of their activity at Family Video on social media, using the hashtag #PokemonFamVid.
