Family Video: Round It Up for Lymphoma Raises Over $5.8 MILLION for Cancer Research

Glenview, IL: APRIL 2016 – For five years, Highland Ventures, through its brands (Family Video, Marco’s Pizza, StayFit 24, Digital Doc) has raised over $5.8 million to support the Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) and the Lymphoma Biobank at the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center.

For three weeks, from March 11-27, customers were asked to round up their transactions to the nearest dollar. 100% of donations collected help fund vital lymphoma research. Advancements in research and treatment have been made possible by the efforts of dedicated customers and employees of Family Video, Marco’s Pizza, Stay Fit 24 & Digital Doc. Since the inception of the Round it Up campaign in 2011, 14 new lymphoma treatment drugs and 63 research grants have been approved, according to LRF.

Stories of hope from customers and employees impacted by lymphoma continue drove the campaign forward. Grassroots events and activities at each location built support for the campaign in the communities they serve.
